The city of Delhi is home to Asia’s second-largest mosque, the Jama Masjid. Built on a scale that was rare for those times, the Masjid-i-Jahannuma was designed to be the pride of Shah Jahan’s Delhi. The mosque has been an important political and cultural centre in Delhi’s history. Through this ride, we will uncover some fascinating stories of this history. Then, we will ride to the neighboring Majnu ka Tilla, a slice of Tibet tucked away in the heart of Delhi. The name ‘Majnu ka Tilla’ is derived from the namesake gurudwara situated in the vicinity. However, today, the area has become a flourishing Tibetan colony with pretty cafes serving Tibetan, Chinese, and Korean food and tiny stalls selling cultural souvenirs.
